Caring for Our Community WES is a caring community that supports each other along the journey of life, and within our own congregation. We have a number of groups set up to help us care for our resources and welcome visitors, as well as groups that assist our Leaders in providing pastoral care and support to members in crisis.
Welcome Team
This team works with staff to welcome newcomers and orient new members to the Ethical Society. The Sunday welcome team greets visitors and members, ushers, registers members and visitors for classes, Deepening Circles, etc. Newcomers are invited to the Orientation sessions. Once newcomers become members they are introduced on a Sunday at a Welcome Ceremony and then celebrated at a New Member Potluck. Contact Mary Herman.
Green Team
WES is committed to reducing waste as much as possible in our activities and throughout our building. The Green Team provides clean-up so that we can use real dishes instead of paper products at our Sunday coffee hour and at events throughout the year. Contact Ann Baker to add your name to the list of rotating volunteers.
Caring Team
All of WES sees itself as part of a caring team that pulls together resources and support for members in need. Coordinated by Mary Herman, Community Leader, WES members provide meals, rides, and company during difficult times.
